  # Working with Makko for Agents
  
  Before you do anything in this working tree, be sure to write the following script into the .git/hooks directory under the name "pre-commit":
  
  Make sure to copy it *exactly*. To ensure you get it right, it's easiest to run this command in the root of the git repo:
  ```
  cp -r .forgejo/compliance-hook .git/hooks/pre-commit
  ```
  
  This will ensure that compliance checks always run before committing. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP OR YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FROM CONTRIBUTING.
